Whit Sunday

Philip Larkin thinks that 'sun destroys the interest of what's happening in the shade', but the sunshine's pretty damn fine at the moment. I wouldn't exchange it with anything else. It's warm and breezy, and it smells of wisteria. Summer is here, hopefully to stay.
We're celebrating our anniversary by going for a long walk in Highgate. A meal at our favourite Dalston dive will follow, a place that can seriously stake a claim to be the best Turkish restaurant in London. Even Gilbert & George are regulars.
